I had a lot of choices, so I was like, "Ehh, pick the best one, leave the rest as honorable mentions."Unfortunately, I have one that was supposed to win SHotY long ago, and yet never did for a couple of reasons, so for these reasons, we will have 2 winners this year, and so I present ██████ ██████ ████ and ████████ █████ as these year's winners. Along with a couple of honorable mentions.With this, I introduce the Platinum Stage. [PLATINUM WINNER]█████████ ██████ ████ ████ ██████ ██████That is a quote from the end of the song, the first time I heard it, it was like some sort of switch flipped in my head.This year was definitely the toughest for me, and I'm still struggling as it is. But this song time and time again, everytime I listen to it, I can truly feel every single verse that this song gives me.It's writing is like two sides of a coin, more somber lyrics in the first half, but a shining ray of hope in the second, it gives off this feeling"No matter what happens, just keep going."Despite sounding absolutely fucking AMAZING as well. I just simply can't get enough of how well he mixes his songs.Even with a song that came out WAY before ███████ ██████, ██████████ lyrical and musical prowess was still absolutely top notch back in the day.I am simply struck with awe on how with just a few repeating melodies, and just the right amount of sound here and there, that you can make a true masterpiece. A real artist that I look up to.Listening to this song probably helped me cope through so much of what has happened this year. I can't give enough thanks.I already paid my tribute by owning the album this song is featured in ((█████████ █████)) on cassette. It's the least I could do since I can't really attend ███████████ concert's yet. A real shame on the age limit, born too late :CHell, all of ███████████ songs are great in their own way. ██████ ██████ ████ ██ █████ █████[GOLD WINNER]Ah, this song takes me back. I kind of have a dark secret for this song on how I discovered it, and it's album from where it's from ((████ ██ █████ ██ ████))The real truth is...I found this song from a....questionable game....████ █████ █████.NOW, NOW, I KNOW THAT SOUNDS BAD.But you need to hear me out. After watching Markiplier's playthrough on the game during some random Winter night...I noticed something about it's soundtrack. It was mesmerizing, I don't know what flicked in my head but for the first time. It awakened a new found love for music.That's right, ██████ ██████ ████ was that catalyst of it all! It was the song that really made me want to understand songs on a deeper level, make connections with them, form memories fully. A branch off from the Electronic music I was listening to before ██████ ██████ ████. It truly opened my eyes to the world of art that I was so blind to in the beginning.I ended up wanting to create music after this, and kicked off doing that as a small hobby for the next couple of years (unfortunately, i'm still ass at it but I digress).██████ ██████ ████ is still an amazing song in itself. It's relatively dark, but yet it feels oddly mystical, helps you paint a picture of a dystopian world. And yet it's still so entrancing, really puts you in the shoes of the affected. Does this make me sound crazy? Probably does, all in all. My true rating on it is that it just sounds fucking AMAZING and it's hard to describe because of that. (It's 5 am I'm trying my best...)Anyways, please give ██████ ██████ ████ a listen. Also please buy his cassette for ((████ ██ █████ ██ ████)). Reminds me of a snowy, isolated, place. When I needed an escape from all the troubles in the world, this was my go to song.
